Six grants are available to support funding professionals coming from countries with limited resources. The grants cover up to 50% of the application fee.

MEDICI is an annual training and exchange forum for decision makers of European public film funds. The workshops offer content tailored to the specific needs of public film funding, which is presented by highly skilled experts of the audiovisual industry. For 2.5 days, the participating film funders discuss pressing issues and reassess the existing funding schemes and programmes. MEDICI offers the temporal and secure framework for in-depth discussions and free exchange.

Public funding – shaping the mandate
Global streaming providers are investing large sums in European production and rights ownership. Through presentations and debates, the workshop will explore the new players, audience needs and current exploitation chains. Participants will discuss their role as major public film financiers in this changing financing and distribution environment.


Talent development – rethinking roles
Is fostering talent and supporting development the next big task for public film funders? How can talent be promoted? How do film labs deal with diversity? The workshop will explore possible changes in the way talent is seen on the way to a more inclusive and thriving industry.
